Frequently Asked Questions

Is Earl Coffee an official Timemore stockist?

Yes, Earl Coffee is an official UK stockist of Timemore, carrying the full range of Timemore grinders, brewing equipment and accessories. All Timemore products purchased from Earl Coffee come with a 1 year warranty.

What Timemore products does Earl Coffee stock?

Earl Coffee stocks the full Timemore range including the Sculptor 064S and 078S electric grinders, the C5 Pro and S3 Chestnut hand grinders, the Nuttii Goosey entry level hand grinder, the Fish Pro X pour over kettle, the Crystal Eye dripper, and the Puck series of espresso accessories including the calibrated tamper, gravity distributor and WDT tool.

What is the difference between the Timemore Sculptor 064S and 078S?

Both are premium electric grinders with low retention, RPM-adjustable brushless motors and Timemore's patented rotary knocker system. The key difference is burr size and motor power — the 064S has 64mm flat burrs and a motor reaching 1200rpm, while the 078S has larger 78mm flat burrs and a motor reaching 1400rpm for a more robust, heavy-bodied grind. The 078S is the more premium of the two models.

What is the difference between the Timemore C5 Pro and S3 Chestnut hand grinders?

The C5 Pro features internal stepped adjustments and is a lighter, more compact option ideal for those who primarily brew one method. The S3 Chestnut is the more premium model, with external point-to-point adjustments at 0.015mm per click, upgraded S2C 890 burrs and a wider brew range. If you switch between brew methods regularly, the S3 is the better choice.

Are Timemore grinders good for espresso?

Yes, the Timemore Sculptor electric grinders and the Chestnut hand grinder range are all well suited to espresso. The stepless adjustment on the Sculptor models and the fine click adjustment on the S3 and C5 Pro allow for precise dial-in. The Nuttii Goosey is better suited to coarser brew methods such as pour over and French press.

What is Timemore S2C burr technology?

S2C stands for Spike to Cut and is a burr technology patented by Timemore. It uses a two step grinding process — sharp vertical ridges first break the beans into uniform chunks, then the lower teeth grind from here. This reduces crushing and micro-dust that can cause bitterness, resulting in better consistency and a stronger, cleaner flavour.
