The DF83V coffee grinder is engineered for power, precision and control over the grind, with a robust 83mm DLC-coated flat burr set for versatile grinding.
Control
The DF83V grinder comes with a first-in-line auger feed system, which ensures a slower and more controlled feed into the burr chamber, optimising grind consistency.
With stepless adjustment, users can precisely fine-tune their grind from perfect espresso shots to balanced pour over and cold press. Additionally, the adjustable RPM feature allows for customisable grind speed (300-1600 RPM), reducing fines and ensuring optimal distribution.
Usability

Every detail has been meticulously considered, from the magnetised output spout to the excellent bellows. It is also one of the quieter models in the range, making it ideal for home use.
The plasma generator is a standout feature of the DF83V that minimises coffee retention by creating a plasma field within the grinder, clearing the grinding chamber and removing any particles stuck to the burrs. This improves consistency and cleanliness between shots. Plasma generators are usually only found on professional grade grinders at much higher price points, which is why the DF83V represents exceptional value.
The DF83V has a variable speed range of 300 to 1600 RPM. Running at a typical speed of around 1300 to 1400 RPM, a full espresso dose can be ground in as little as 4 seconds.
Maintaining the DF83V is straightforward. Start the machine and use the bellows to clear any residual grounds, then turn off and disconnect from power. Turn the dial and indicating collar counter clockwise to remove them, then pull out the front burr component and clean the burrs and chamber with a dry brush or handheld vacuum. Remove the magnetic chute and clean with a dry brush, then clean the powder outlet with a dry brush — avoid touching the plasma generator with your fingers. Reassemble all parts.
