The DF64 Gen 2 is the second iteration of the market favourite DF64 Grinder that rivals existing market favourite single dose grinders; however at a much lower price point. The Gen 2 has a host of improvements: with upgraded structural and electrical components, new grind chute design and the introduction of the plasma generator to reduce static and grind build up to almost none. There are two colour options available with the DF64 Gen 2 coffee grinder; Black and White.
Features of the DF64 Gen 2 Grinder
The DF64 Gen 2 grinder comes with a pre-calibrated 64mm stainless steel burr set, with step less adjustment. This gives versatile grinding from Fine for Espresso to Coarse for Pour Over and Cold Brew. Another benefit of having 64mm Burrs in the DF64 is that they are easy to upgrade/interchange, with several aftermarket options available.
It also includes a 58mm black metal catch cup for transfer directly into a portafilter.
The single dose hopper with bellow can hold up to 50g of beans. There is also an ‘anti popcorn’ disc installed to the hopper to stop beans from jumping out during the grinding process.
There is a standard 2 Year UK Repair Warranty included with the DF64 Gen 2.

The DF64 Gen 2 does produce noise during grinding, however it is quieter than many grinders of a similar specification. The high grinding speed also means the duration of any noise is short, making it well suited to home use.
Maintaining the DF64 Gen 2 is straightforward. Install the bellows on the upper burr holder, start the grinder and press the bellows to blow out any remaining grounds. Turn off and unplug the grinder, then turn the adjusting disc counter clockwise to remove it and take out the upper burr holder. Clean both burrs and the outlet chute with a dry brush, then reassemble.
