Our Earl espresso, roasted for Earl by Sioptec. We work closely with the team at Sioptec and think what they're doing is some of the most considered roasting in the UK right now. Meticulous sourcing, a clear point of view on flavour, and a level of care that comes through in every bag.
The coffee is a natural process Arara from Fazenda California in Paraná, produced by Luiz and Flavia Saldanha. Both are agronomists trained at ESALQ/USP and certified Q Graders, with Luiz also a Q processing instructor. Since taking on the farm in 2004, they've rebuilt it from the soil up into a highly data driven operation, where everything from plant nutrition and solar radiation through to cherry BRIX levels informs picking and processing decisions.
The cup leans into the more delicate side of Brazilian naturals - soft florals and an orange juicy lift sit on top of a classic creamy chocolate and macadamia base. Sweet, balanced, and forgiving as straight espresso, and rich and rounded in milk.
