The Crystal Eye Vector is Timemore's collaboration with Matt Winton, World Brewers Cup Champion and member of the Timemore Advisory Board. Winton's proposal was simple but counterintuitive: increasing the contact points between filter paper and dripper can accelerate flow rather than restrict it. The result is a dripper purpose built for high velocity brewing, whether on the competition bench or the kitchen counter.
Three zone pressure management
Vector's internal geometry is split into three functional zones across five layers. The Stabilisation Zone maintains consistent pressure between the filter paper and body. The Isolation Zone creates a pressure barrier between the upper and lower sections of the brewer. The Acceleration Zone is a negative pressure area that incrementally increases flow rate from top to bottom, reducing late stage stalling and supporting cleaner, more repeatable extractions, even with lighter roasts.
High airflow grooves and precision air inlets
A dense lattice of contact points in the lower chamber maintains stable negative pressure to boost flow rate, while six perimeter vents in the upper chamber match internal air pressure to the surrounding environment. Together these keep the filter paper properly seated and the water column stable for an even, predictable pre infusion.
Two part thermal assembly
Vector pairs a 304 stainless steel Brewer Core, which reaches thermal equilibrium with the coffee bed quickly, with a food safe ABS Thermal Sleeve that limits heat loss to the surrounding environment. This dual layer construction sustains higher, more consistent brewing temperatures for improved extraction consistency. Because metal conducts heat, always brew with the thermal sleeve fitted to prevent burns.
Fully modular and easy to clean
A precision threaded locking ring secures the assembly and allows full disassembly of the Brewer Core, Thermal Sleeve and Base, so every surface is accessible for thorough cleaning after each brew. The base is detachable, so Vector can be used with or without it, including on a brew stand.
Built for 01 filter papers
Vector's internal geometry is designed specifically for 01 filter papers, so the paper adheres perfectly to the support ribs for uniform extraction from first pour to final drawdown.
