The Timemore Sculptor 078S has a built-in, patented rotary knocker, designed to achieve as close to zero retention as possible. A snapping action physically shakes loose any remaining particles of coffee to empty the chute, making the design more streamlined and keeping retention to a minimum.

The Timemore Sculptor 078S comes with specialised 78mm flat burrs, designed specifically for a blend of espresso and filter coffee brewing. The design, co-developed with Grinding labs, are known as “vortex knife” burrs, with three rows of teeth to increase consistency and provide a cleaner, sweeter cup.

The 078S is a more premium model and comes with larger 78mm burrs and an adjustable motor that can reach 1,400W, along with a more robust build. This is compared to the 064S which has a slightly lighter build, with 64mm burrs and a motor that can reach 1,200W. As a result, the 078S offers more clarity, with the 1400W motor allowing it to handle complex, light-roast coffees well.
