The DF54 is the newest single dose model to be introduced to the DF range and has gathered its fair share of accolades since launching with James Hoffman reviewing it as the ‘Best Grinder Under £250'.

Features of the DF54 Coffee Grinder
The DF54 comes with a pre-calibrated 54mm stainless steel burr set, with step less adjustment. This gives versatile grinding from Fine for Espresso to Coarse for Pour Over and Cold Brew.
The integrated plasma generator helps to reduce static, making the grinding process a lot cleaner and with less retention (less than 0.1g).
The DF54 coffee grinder also includes a 58mm plastic catch cup for transfer directly into a portafilter.
The single dose hopper with bellow can hold up to 25g of beans, there is also an ‘anti popcorn’ disc installed to the hopper to stop beans from jumping out during the grinding process.

Absolutely. The AeroPress reaches its potential with a consistent, medium-fine grind, that is easily achievable with the DF54 electric coffee grinder.
The DF54 grinds at a rate of around 1 gram per second, varying slightly depending on the grind settings you’re using. This is slightly slower than some market alternatives but for good reason, as it’s the de-ionizing feature that helps to provide the unparalleled consistency in the DF54 grinder that slows the process slightly. If grind speed is an important component for you, other grinders in the DF range like the DF64 may be better suited to you. Maintaining the DF54 grinder is really simple. Simply use a dry brush or a small handheld vacuum to clean grounds from the outlet chute and burrs.
